چکیده

Background: Cancer is a heterogeneous disease encompassing various subtypes. Exploration of novel biomarkers important to tailor therapy. Aim: The main aim this study was toexplore the prognostic value soluble CD44 in sera breast cancer patients (BCPs), and correlate its levels with hyaluronic acid (HA), VEGF p53 levels. Subjects Methods: Fifty female BCPs were enrolled as patient group 50 healthy females control group. Cancerous neighboring normal tissues collected from BCPs. Blood samples at diagnosis tissue expression evaluated by immunohistochemistry (IHC). Serum sCD44, HA, VEGF, p53levels measured ELISA. Results: showed high cancerous compared tissues. Circulating sCD44 highly increased associated significantly HA elevated along increase positivity. In contrast, decrease level higher According Kaplan-Meier curves, who expressed of  or shorter DFS time than negative. Conclusion: Tissue are increases VEGF.  Increased related bad patients' survival. As such, can be used marker patients.

While Urine and Plasma Decorin Remain Unchanged in Prostate Cancer, Prostatic Tissue Decorin Has a Prognostic Value

Background: Numerous studies confirmed that significant decrease in tissue decorin (DCN) expression is associated to tumor progression and metastasis in certain types of cancer including prostate cancer (PC). However, the potential prognostic value of tissue DCN in PC has not yet been investigated. Methods: A total number of 40 PC and 42 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) were inv...

Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes: A Promising Biomarker in Breast Cancer.

There is clear evidence that the immune system plays an essential role in tumor defense. By determining tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), the individual immunological response becomes more apparent and measurable. In breast cancer, high levels of TILs are associated with a more favorable clinical course. In this review, we describe how TILs are determined with emphasis on daily routine dia...

Urinary neutrophil-gelatinase associated lipocalin is a more prognostic biomarker to distinguish antenatal hydronephrosis in neonates

Background: Routine diagnostic methods of Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) are invasive and can cause exposure to radiation and may increase risk of urinary tract infections. Therefore, introducing reliable, non invasive methods might be more interested in pediatric nephrology. The objective of this perspective case control study was to evaluate the prognostic value of urinary neutrophil-gelatinase ...

Growth differentiation factor 15 is a promising diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in colorectal cancer

Although various studies have demonstrated that growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) might be a potential diagnostic and prognostic marker in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients, the results are inconsistent and the statistical power of individual studies is also insufficient. An original study was conducted to explore the diagnostic and prognostic value of serum GDF15 in CRC patients. We also...

FOXA1: a promising prognostic marker in breast cancer.

Accurate diagnosis and proper monitoring of cancer patients remain important obstacles for successful cancer treatment. The search for cancer biomarkers can aid in more accurate prediction of clinical outcome and may also reveal novel predictive factors and therapeutic targets. One such prognostic marker seems to be FOXA1. Many studies have shown that FOXA1 is strongly expressed in a vast major...
